Identifying the Optimum vendor base & developing the vendor base to deliver products of the right quality and right price

Developing the right sourcing processes for the Procurement items identified.

Effectively challenging certain assumptions of the R&D team (e.g. single source supplier) - which may have the effect of limiting the negotiation-leverage with the vendor

Ensuring complete contractual documentation i.e. purchase orders performance bank guarantee advance bank guarantee commercial comparative are in place for transactions.

Driving Total Value Engineering initiatives in areas of purchase.

Creating and maintaining database of vendors and preparing MIS for all purchases and related savings

Reviewing performance strategy of the vendors in terms of procurement quality cost reduction projects and identifying areas of improvement

Developing and implementing SAP Processes for MRP and Inventory Management

Handling Import purchases and documentation of imports

Developing and Implementing a vendor rating system

Closure of all Audit Observations that are highlighted so that the effectiveness of commercial controls can be improved

Buying Efficiency: Mark to Market Gain or Loss

Value Engineering: Value of ideas Implemented

Vendor Performance Improvement

Working Capital: Actual V/s Target

On time delivery

Efficiencies of new processes developed

Foster good team-work.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Candidate profile

B.com with minimum 6 months in similar role

Should be good at MS Office Tally Analytics Networking Negotiation Procurement etc.

Proficient in MS Office (mandatory)

Bilingual - English Gujarati (is a must) & Hindi will be an advantage
